About Hebrides Haulage

Hebrides Haulage is a family run business started in 1976 by John Murdo Macdonald of Laxay on the Isle of Lewis. The business began with John Murdo running a 4 wheeler Bedford KH named "Island Queen" once a week from Glasgow to his home. Over the years the business has grown steadily and at present runs a fleet of 25 vehicles from depots in Stornoway, Ardelve and Glasgow serving the islands off the west coast on a daily basis. What started as a personal mission to ensure reliable delivery to areas others overlooked has grown into one of the most trusted haulage names in the Scottish Highlands.
