We at Hebrides Haulage would like to congratulate our driver Bobby Rennie for his actions last month where his speed of thought and driving skill helped prevent a potentially serious accident on the roads whilst at work.
Bobby was driving his lorry down the A82, near Luss, when he noticed that the car in front, which he had been following for a while, began to veer strangely across the road and over into oncoming traffic. Instinctively knowing something was not right, he decided to take action. By using his 25-ton vehicle and some sound judgement, he overtook the car and ushered it safely to a halt at the side of the road. An ambulance was then called as the driver was found to have been suffering from low blood sugar levels.
The incident was widely acknowledged on social media groups and has since been picked up by National Media. Bobby has been overwhelmed by the support from everyone and to his credit says: "It was just a day’s work for me...”.
Thank you Bob for your efforts and for helping make our roads a safer place!
